No Signal Received
Often caused by heavy rain shifting your dish, wind, or damaged cabling.
Quick DIY Checks:
- Make sure the satellite cable is tightly screwed into the LNB IN port.
- Check if the dish is visibly loose or blocked by tree branches.
Service Scrambled
Usually happens if your subscription payment is late, or you haven't used the decoder for a while.

- Log into DStv self-service website or WhatsApp portal to send a clear command.
- Verify your account balance and payment details online.
Extra View Connection
The primary decoder is not receiving a heartbeat signal from the secondary decoder.
Quick DIY Checks:
- Ensure the RF/heartbeat cable is firmly plugged into the RF IN/OUT ports on both units.
- Reboot the primary decoder first, wait 5 minutes, then reboot the secondary unit.
Smartcard Error
The decoder is having trouble reading the smartcard chip or it is inserted incorrectly.
